2. ICT Infrastructure & Equipment: This describes equipment that enables Internet access/connectivity, and includes any of the following: wireless access points (WiFi), network switches, network cable points, fibre optic cabling (FOC), fibre media converters, network cabinets, etc.
3. Subnet: This is the generic term used for a faculty and departmental network location, comprising of several network users.
a. This service is a PILOT PROGRAM that will run for an initial one (1) month.
b. This PILOT PROGRAM is OPTIONAL.
c. This PILOT PROGRAM will be available to 500 undergraduate (UG) and 250 postgraduate (PG) students.
d. This PILOT PROGRAM will be available to a limited number of students on a first-come, first-serve basis.
e. This PILOT PROGRAM will provide data that will assist the University to:
i. determine OAU student’s interest in an Internet Access Scheme for students.
ii. determine appropriate pricing for Internet Access for Students.
iii. determine the current average DATA consumption of an OAU student with a bid to determine minimum DATA volume requirements per student.
iv. identify areas of limited or non-existent Internet coverage on campus to assist in network Infrastructure planning and expansion.
v. Determine how best to provide social, education, entertainment content to the student subscriber
a. Fully personalized institutional (OAU) email address.
i. An email address (e.g) firstname.lastname@example.org will be provided.
ii. Students will be able to continue using the oauife.edu.ng email even after the end of the pilot program
b. An Internet subscription plan for one month.
i. A username (e.g) email@example.com OR firstname.lastname@example.org@oauife.edu.ng will be provided for internet access.
c. Student-friendly data volume and data speed.
i. 10GB MONTHLY DATA CAP, 500MB DAILY DATA CAP.
d. Student-friendly pricing plan to guarantee value for money
i. Monthly subscription cost = N1,000 (exclusive of REMITA charges)

b. INTECU may license some user-groups to purchase some equipment, but the installation configuration and maintenance will be the responsibility of INTECU.
TESTING & ACCEPTANCE
i. All account subscriptions on this platform are deemed to be the personal and private credential of the student subscriber. Consequently, it shall not be shared, rented or sold.
ii. No subscriber will use or deploy tools to facilitate session or account hijacking.
iii. No subscriber shall use this service to perpetrate identity theft.
iv. No subscriber shall use this service for financial fraud
v. No subscriber shall use this service for email spamming or spoofing
vi. No subscriber shall use this service for any cyber-attack activity.
vii. No subscriber shall use this service cyberstalking or cyberbullying.
viii. No subscriber shall use this service to develop or distribute malicious software.
ix. No subscriber shall use this service for Digital Piracy
x. No subscriber shall use this service for Electronic Terrorism, Vandalism, or Extortion
xi. No subscriber shall use this service in such a way as to violate intellectual property rights
SERVICE RENEWAL & FEES
b. All student subscribers (undergraduate and postgraduate) will pay an obligatory stipulated subscription fee.
b. Fill the on-line form - https://intecu.oauife.edu.ng/sia/#form
c. Print out completed and submitted on-line form.
d. Make payment on REMITA https://intecu.oauife.edu.ng/sia/#payments
e. Present REMITA payment receipt at Cash Office to collect OAU receipt.
f. Bring original OAU receipt and on-line form print-out to INTECU-CISCO lab.
b. This fee is N1,000 as at July 15, 2019.
c. Only MAKE PAYMENTS after registration is completed and successful.
d. All subscription payment shall be paid into the University TSA account via the REMITA platform. Select the “ICT Support” service name, with payment description, “STUDENT INTERNET ACCESS” using the GIMFIS code: 100017548.
e. Subscribers are required to obtain a receipt for their REMITA payment from the University cash office at the secretariat Building, new extension – for “Student Internet Access”.
f. Subscribers are required to bring the original of their OAU receipt for Student Internet Access to the INTECU-CISCO TRAINING LAB, Computer Building between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm (Monday - Wednesday)
